Daughters of the King Tea

We had a great "crowd" at the Daughters of the King Tea that was held at my mom's church. There were a total of ten in our group, representing 5 generations. Miss Faith here is our fifth generation.

She was having so much fun looking at the wrapping paper on her "little princess gift".

Here is our Five Generation Shot
Back row: Danielle Magnin (mom), Dorothy Parsons (great grandma),

Miss Faith is trying her best to steal the camera from me. I do believe that she was interested in taking a picture of her mommy.

Baseball Game

Sean's team won their first game tonight! They defeated the Nationals 9 to 8. Go Yankees!
Sean & Tommy Almarode after the game.

More Fishing Pictures

Walter received these from one of the guys at work via email. They came out pretty well.

Walter's Fishing Trip

Walter went out on the bay with the guys from work. He managed to get theses shots using his camera phone while out on the boat.

Here he is reeling in his first catch of the day.

Wow what a catch!

Now this is really a fish tale. He can really say he caught one 'this big"!!!

Now for the really weird shot, Walter kissing his fish.. Haha.

Entertainer

Sean helped out this afternoon while I played "beauty shop" with Elda. Abigail & Sam sure look like they are having fun playing with the geoball.

Trip Day 3

As we entered into Scott County, we saw a road by the name of "Panoramic Lane", out of curiosity we traveled down the lane. The name was all that it implied!

And of course they had goats on the hillside - This is special for Danielle who just loves "baby goats".

Trip Day 2 - Horses

The white speckled horse seemed to be trying to run off the chestnut, as to say, "It's my turn now to pose."

Trip Day 1

Just a pretty purple flower.

This bee kept hanging out around the swing, almost like he was posing.

I was chasing honey bees around and around the honeysuckle, but only managed to get photos of the honeysuckle.

Money plant hidden in the woods.

Time with Faith

Faith and her mommy & daddy were at church today. After our choir special I slipped into the nursery to see her.

Danielle let me have the opportunity to get her all burped and settle her down to for a nap.

She reminds me so much of her mommy at this age.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Ben

Wishing you a wonderful
day and year filled with joy and happiness.

Backyard Camp Out

The boys had a great adventure camping out in the back yard. They broke out Walt's Cadilliac of a tent and all the comforts of home.

The air mattress, computer, PSP, cell phones and such. The only thing that they didn't have was a bathroom..

I popped out to check on them and found that they were watching DVD's. What a camp out!

Coral Fish

Ms. Danielle gave me my mother's day present early, this really cute "Coral Fish". It fits with the whole beachy theme of things.

Danielle's Visit

Danielle stopped by for a visit and lunch after school this afternoon. We did a bit of catching up and she shared several pictures that she had taken. I was able to get this one of her before she got out the door.

Ten Little Fishies

Watch this space for ten little fishies to go swimming by......and here they are!

Easter Dress

Here is a picture of our granddaughter in her Easter dress. She is such a precious princess. Her mommy took this of her and I changed the background just a bit.

Sweet Potato Casserole

I found this one somewhere out there is cyberspace. I took it to my mom's for Easter dinner, it was fantastic. It feeds a crowd without doubling it, and it feeds a small army if you do.

Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients
4 1/2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup milk
1 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup light brown sugar - (for topping)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour - (for topping)
1/3 cup butter - (for topping)

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together mashed sweet potatoes, 1/2 cup butter, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  3. Spread sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. For topping - In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and flour.
  5. Cut in 1/3 cup butter until mixture is crumbly, then stir in pecans.
  6. Sprinkle pecan mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
This serves 16.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here is our master egg hider at work

Abigail takes a break after hunting eggs to blow away the dandelion seeds.

Sam gives it a try too.

The little man is really jumping the gun, at only three he already his the very basic mechanics of driving down. First put on your seat belt, then steer.

Here Terry is pointing out an egg that he found.

Happy Easter

Evening Rainbow

The boys had a scrimmage game this evening, however, a fast moving storm passed over the field sequetering us all in our cars for about 20 minutes. Towards the end of the storm I saw this rainbow appear over the fields.

The other end was in the upper parking lot out of range of the camera.

Haircut

Sean models his new haircut while engaging in his second favorite activity, talking on his phone.
