No jury duty today, which is fantastic since Sean will be heading out this morning to begin the his new IEP. He will be going to school from 8:30 to 11:50 each day and having a homebound instructor in for a few hours each week. Since he'll be home at a regular lunch time, he will not be eating lunch at school - so during their "lunch period" he will have a tutoring session to help him catch up on things. Then leave right at 11:50 to come home. This will be a great schedule for him. I'm looking forward to great things from this arrangement.
There is one fly in the ointment with our plans here today and that is that Sean developed a migraine last night and was still complaining of it around 3:30 a.m. I awaken him for the day, but he states that he still has a headache. It looks like Sean won't be going anywhere - he has continued to have problems with the migraine. He is still sleeping and hopefully that will bring him around later on in the day. Well, Master Sean, finally arose from his headache around 10:36 a.m., hungry which is a good sign following a migraine.
Marion phoned and is popping by this morning for coffee & catch-up. She must have some real news to share, as this story is an in person telling. For now it seems that everyone at her house is doing fine, just some auxillary drama to spice things up. Like her house actually needs any other drama to spice it up...so I guess for now it is just super spicy.
It seems that Marion is now awaiting the arrival for her first grandchild. Chris & Cassie are awaiting the impending arrival of their little girl, Cheynne. Cassie is due to deliver at any moment, and if she has not headed to the hospital by Wednesday evening they are going to induce her. So the moment of truth is almost upon them. Please keep them in your prayers that all goes well and that the baby is healthy.
I've been immobilized on getting things done around the house today, with Sean's migraine, I do try to keep the noise levels down to zero. So that excludes most household activity, until he has properly recovered. It was even chancey to have Marion over for coffee. The biggest source of noise this morning turned out to be the girls, when they were playing who gets the rawhide strip. Lots of growls and tail wagging.
We have had another vehicle stop in front of the house this morning. Perhaps that will lead to another person touring the house. I also got some info from our neighbor across the street it appears that they will be putting their house on the market soon. As they are going to be looking for a larger house.
This afternoon around 3:15, Sean & I are headed down to Chester to take a look inside the house on Passaic. I'm going to take some pictures so that Dean will be able to get a good idea of what it looks like and if it is actually something that we will be interested in. The trip to this particular property is that it is owned by a relocation company and they will only deal with prospective purchasers when they are ready to buy. Right now we aren't, so it will be one of the properties in the "keeper" pile until we have a firm offer on our house. But we may be able to do some real negotiating on it if it is still available when we are ready to make the move. If it happens to be raining this afternoon it would also give me the opportunity to see how water flows across the property, that would be a big bonus.
The house inside was okay. I could see possiblities, but we will see. Who knows once we get ours sold. As we pulled up, a little early, another realtor was showing the property. So I believe that it may be gone when we go to make a purchase. This evening once we had gotten home as I was fixing dinner, a prospective buyer stopped and asked to see the backyard. I ended up giving her the grand tour. She seemed impressed and did take a brochure. So we will see if she returns again with her husband. I want a BONUS if it sells from that showing, that will be two for two. I showed our last house and it sold the couple that I showed it to and if this one does too. I think that would be pretty remarkable.
Dean has decided to train Lilly, by locking her in the crate for snooping around at the tables after dinner. She also tried to eat Carla's portion of the leftovers. I don't know how long he plans to keep her in there but will keep her in there all night if I mess with her.
Sean & I will be trying again to get him into school in the morning. I hope that his headache does not return, during the night.

Thoughts for the Day:
I receive the normal morning announcements from the middle school on a daily basis, usually there is nothing there of any importance or of concern to us directly. This morning however, this particular announcement had the following item (posted in red):
"Tennis shoes called “"Heelies” {sic} are not allowed to be worn at school! Heelies cause safety concerns and they damage the school flooring. Students who are found to be using “Heelies” will receive an Administrative Consequence and parents will be called to pick up the shoes immediately from school."
Now this does not effect us as Sean does not have a pair of this type sneaker but I found it interesting that the emphasis was not only "safety concerns", but on damage to the "school flooring". I'm not a rocket scientist by any means, but just how much "damage" can a roller skate wheel do to commerical grade tiling? Why not just stress the importance of safety? Which I can see as a real issue as the school has a second floor thus there are stairs to be concerned about. But school flooring???
