It has been a truly productive day off. I've gotten a bunch of errands done as well as goofed off a bunch too.
This morning Walt & I went out for breakfast. We were going to eat at IHOP, but they were closed! You'd definitely think that they'd have been open at 6:30 a.m. So we ended up at Cracker Barrel. It was an amazing sight. Only 3 tables in the whole place were in use! No waiting, no line of people, no one sitting on the rockers on the porch. Amazing.
A quick trip to Hull Street Outlet for tarps to cover the woodpiles. Now we're set for the winter on that for any number of years. He even got a CD of Marine Corps cadences to run to. It'll definitely keep him moving.
Having a random hair, we stopped off at the Great Big Greenhouse looking for an artificial ficus tree. Rumor was that they stocked them. We did find one, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Although I did get a ficus bonsai. We hit Michael's on the way back to the house and they had the ficus' that I was look for, and very reasonably priced at that. Throw in a few craft pumpkins and mums and we're all good to go for the fall season. Those will take us through Halloween and the way to Thanksgiving.
Miss Abby has arrived and we are just about ready to leave out to pick up Cassie. We will be going to see Where the Wild Things Are this evening as part of our girl's night. Throw in some fingernail polish and we'll be all set for the evening.
