Friday

It's an early morning, I was up at 5:00 a.m. this morning in order to get out to the conference on time. Lots to do before 8:00 a.m.

I ducked out of the conference around 9:15 in order to make it down to the Siegel Center to see Danielle graduate. Mom got this photo of her as she received her diploma. She was noted in the program as having received the President's Education Award for Academic Achievement. The school system is going to replay the whole ceremony on June 22 at 10 a.m. on the local cable channel 96. I may have to watch just to see a close up view of her.

I got back to work just before lunch time, so I didn't miss too overly much.

This evening at the end of the day's session the group headed down to the canal walk this evening. We rode on a set of boats for about an hour. The group had a terrific time and there was lots of fun and laughter all around. I took lots of photos of the fun and games.

This photo is of the place where three railroad tracks all cross one another - this is the only place in the world where this occurs. Pretty neat.

This is a view of the second boat in our group heading back to the turn basin at 14th Street and Canal Street. In the distance you can see all the forms of transportation that have been in the city - ground, canal, rail, highway, and the sky.

Heather and I made it back to the hotel near 8 p.m. and finished up there a little after 8:15 p.m. It was definitely a full day.
