Thursday

For the moment it seems that I have been spared from the yuck that has been being passed around lately. I surely thought last night that I was going come down with something.

Found this shocking picture of eggs on WRVA's website. Truly funny.

We've got company heading over for dinner this evening. Walt has decided that there is still time to get some grilling done. He's going to grill some veggies and steaks this evening. Wow! I don't even have to cook.

"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." -- Samuel Adams

Testing In West Virginia

Miss Sally Edwards Is a highly esteemed teacher at a Mercer County Elementary School in Southern West Virginia. In an effort to prepare her students for the all-important TAKS test, she compiled an exam consisting of 20 questions, which she administered to her class.

The exam purposely covered a broad array of topics.

I call your attention to question # 11, which simply read:

LIST, IN ANY ORDER, THE FOUR SEASONS:

1.. ________ 2. ______ 3. ______ 4. _________

Now, could you possibly imagine that 67% of the students
gave the following answer?
  1. SQUIRREL SEASON
  2. DEER SEASON
  3. RABBIT SEASON
  4. TURKEY SEASON
GOD BLESS
West Virginia
