Sunday

We got off to a good start this morning, Carla had awaken me at 3:30 a.m. to go out and the puppy was awake too. So I was able to get them both out at the same time. Once back inside the puppy crawled right back in the bed with Sean and slept until morning. That was great having that extra sleep.

Sunday school was great we finished up learning aout the Jehovah Witness' and next week our lesson will be on the Seventh Day Adventist. Very interesting stuff. The choir is already beginning work on the Christmas program, which will be performed on December 17th. There is a lot of work to do before December. No sign of the daughter, son-in-law or granddaughter - they are apparently having trouble with Faith during the night that is keeping them up. Oh well, maybe next time.

Al asked for me to bring him more of my business cards for painting. Apparently there has been a large number of people requesting my cards. I'll get them to him by next Sunday morning, or ealier if I happen to see Danielle one afternoon.

The boys & I took Lilly out to Mom & Dad's this afternoon to get her first in a series of three puppy shots. She did very well and it was over quickly. All we have to do now is take her back twice more in 6-week intervals. After we got back Lilly took a nap on the couch. She took full advantage of a warm body to sleep next to.

Walter's camping trip went well. The only downside was that he burned a couple of fingers - they blistered, but he appears to be alright. Right now he's napping in the living room before heading home to unpack and get ready for the upcoming week.

Thought for the Day: "Health is so necessary to all the duties, as well as pleasures of life, that the crime of squandering it is equal to folly." - Samuel Johnson

The Last Day

Ten things God won't ask on that day:
  1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove, He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
  2. God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
  3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
  4. God won't ask what your highest salary was, He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
  5. God won't ask what your job title was, He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.
  6. God won't ask how many friends you had, He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
  7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
  8. God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.
  9. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation, He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
  10. God won't have to ask how many people you shared this with, He already knows your decision.
