Point of Rocks Outing

Sean and I went with Mom and Dad down to Point of Rocks Park this afternoon while our car was being repaired. It gave both Sean and I an opportunity to get out of the house for a while.

Images from the Yard 2

Mom came over today to visit for a bit, and she and I went out and snapped a few shots in the yard. As you can see Spring is beginning to make its presence known.

The dogwood has begun to put forth its blooms. It won't be long now.

Kitchen Update

I finished up the kitchen woodworks today and began on the island. The preliminary coats of paint have been applied and over the course of the next several weeks, I'll be working to complete the whole kitchen.

The island has begun its transformation.

Painting Update

I was able to get the woodwork in the kitchen painted today. They turned out quite nicely. So fresh and clean. The biggest obstale to getting them finished was the kids growth chart on the door, which I transferred to tape (a long and tedious job).

This little lady was climbing up and down my arm while I was in the backyard taking photos.

After finally getting off my arm she ended up on the landscape timber before flying away home.

Freshin' Up

I spent the afternoon giving the kitchen a fresh coat of paint. Sean was a great help painting behind the stove and refridgerator. There are still the woodworks to finish, and.....yes! we're going to paint the cabinets!!!!

March Snow

We woke up this morning to a surprise snow. It was the best kind. All on the ground and not on the road. I got this one of the forsythia covered in snow before the sun came out to melt it all away.

Snow on the Forsythia

Mom & I took an excursion to the reservoir where we saw a number of birds, and some really nice scenery. We missed a heron, it flew off before we could get the cameras going. Maybe next time.

Love the hairdo.

Spring Snow

What a surprising sight this morning! It was predicted, but.... we usually are disappointed. Yet it did finally materialize to our surprise a whole inch or two of snow.

Spicy Lunch

Walter was home for lunch today and he took me out to share a bite at his absolute favorite restaurant, Mi Hacienda. Well, I thought it would be fun to try out some of the spicier items on the table. Mom, was along for the coffee, but couldn't resist getting these photos while we were there.

Oooohhh Noooooo! I can't believe that I actually ate Habenaro sauce. Feel the burn! Walter tells me that Uncle Tim once tricked him into eating but not me, I did it all on my own. And after all that......

Always up for a bit more torture. Here I voluntarly "drank" the red salsa. Yum yum. Everyone tells me that I'll be paying for this stunt later on tonight.

Practice

Practice went well tonight . The pitcher's are looking good and so is the rest of the team. I took several fairly good shots this evening, but kept having trouble with the dust that was hanging in the air. Yucky, splotches on the images.

Faith's First Visit to Church

Danielle & Ben were able to bring Miss Faith to church this morning. She spent the entire church service in the nursery. She was such a good girl. Here she is as she was dropped off.

I was able to get my hands on the little princess for a few minutes before she was whisk off to visit with everyone in the church who had been anxiously anticipating her arrival.

Baseball Website

I created a team website for Sean's baseball team. Since I'm going to be team mom I thought that I shoulld do it up right. This way the schedule and team photos will be readily available to all.

It Can Happen!

It does happen on occassion, I was able to get these great pictures of Sean out in the backyard.

Construction Continues

The boys have put in a lot of work today putting together the tree fort. It is amazing at the level of cooperation and assistance that they have given one another. What a great way to head into the weekend, with their project on track for the next phase.

New Movie

The boys and I watched Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. It was much more somber than the previous three, yet did follow along with the book quite well.

Rest In Peace

This evening, Walter's rat, Dash passed away at the age of 4. He lived an extra long life. He was a faith companion and will be missed by all.

All Dressed Up

This afternoon, Sean & I made a quick drive down to visit with Miss Faith and her mommy. So this was an opportunity for Faith to see her Uncle Sean and she did a fabulous job of show him just how sweet and loveable that she is. Danielle showed us several home movies that she and Ben had taken, staring Faith. Boy does she sure enjoy taking a bath. After getting all bundled up we headed out for our errands and the rest of the day.
