Apparently I'm not the only one that has noticed the petitions that have been submitted for signature. WND has also picked up the story, "Now many states want to secede from U.S."

19. Peacefully grant the  State of Missouri to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.
20. Peacefully grant the State of Virginia to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government. This link was posted as a comment on a previous post but does not seem to be able to be accessed other than by this direct link! According to sources a petition will not appear on the public listing until there are at least 150 signatures.
21. Peacefully grant the State of Arkansas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own New government.
22. Peacefully grant the State of Oklahoma to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own New government.
23. Peacefully grant the State of Arizona to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own New government.

Texas has been busy collecting signatures. They have reached and exceeded the necessary 25,000 signatures required to have their petition reviewed by the Obama Administration.
