Saturday Outting

The boys and I are heading once again down to Bush Gardens for the day. This is the last hurrah of summer before school starts for Sean on Tuesday. But first thing this morning Walter & I are dropping by Midas to donate blood. The blood service has been calling Walt all month to get him to come in and donate. He has type O blood so they want all of it that he will spare. Then we're picking up Sean and going straight on to Williamsburg.

The plan is to ride rides ALL day long. The biggest thing that we have to do is make sure that Sean eats, otherwise we'll have one grumpy guy on our hands. The weather report does seem to be on our side, with highs in the mid-80's and overcast. Most likely we'll be able to enjoy ourselves without suffering from too high temperatures. Should we get in mood - we can always catch the Chubby Checker concert out this evening. You never know.

I've even got Monday off to rest and relax. That is if I can. Who knows.

Well, as they always can, plans changed on the fly this morning. Sean called to let me know that he wasn't up to going with me this morning. I hope that he is feeling much better this evening.

Walter & I dropped into the Midas on Hull Street to give blood first thing. My iron was right on target this morning, however, after trying once in each arm they pretty much "patted me on the head and said thanks for trying". They were really nice about it, my veins were just too deep and they rolled. Perhaps next time - in November.

Bush Gardens was delightful today. The weather was stupendous. I finally got to see the show in Ireland called Emerald Beat. It was fabulous!!! The choreography was terrific and how awesome. It only took all summer to get to it - I am so glad that I did finally get to attend one of the shows. It was well worth my time.

On the way back home we passed this promotional car for Red Bull. Quite an interesting looking vehicle.
