Rainy Thursday

I'm up early with Lilly, but she nearly made it through the entire night. After she went out it began to rain here. So our adventures outside later in the day won't be nearly as easy. She doesn't like randomly getting wet, a bath is one thing as is swimming in a creek...but rain, yikes.

A family friend, Chris Vlk, has entered a photography contest for Readers Digest help him out by voting five stars for his photo that he has submitted. It only takes a second and the photo it worthy. Nighttime shots are terribly difficult. Good luck Chris.

We got to do something really different this evening. We took Walter to school and then picked him up afterwards. He was having his car worked on while he was in class. We dropped him off at the repair shop after his class and his car was ready to go when we got there. It was just a short and quick errand.

By the way the rain didn't last long at all this morning - things cleared up before 10 and actually warmed up for a short while before the temperature dropped somewhat. We're off to have the oil changed in my car in the morning and then in the late afternoon we're out again running an errand.

Thought of the Day: Some people are like blisters. They don't show up until the work is done.

Communication

As the shopping centre's marketing director, I was putting the finishing touches on an ad. I asked Nancy, the newspaper's sales representative, how to spell "eligible." She wrote it down on a card she fished from her purse. I completed the copy, returned the card to her, and she left.

Not long after, I received a call from the manager of one of our shoe stores. He asked if I knew if Nancy was married. I told him I thought so and asked why he was interested. "She just gave me her business card," he said, "and on the back she's written 'eligible'."

Fast Driver

My mom has a lead foot, so I was not surprised when a state trooper pulled us over as we were speeding through Georgia. Hoping to get off with a warning, Mom tried to appear shocked when the trooper walked up to the car.

"I have never been stopped like this before," she said to the officer.

"What do they usually do, ma'am," he asked, "shoot the tires out?"

Read all of this one, it is interesting!! Read down to the very bottom highlighted in green. You don't want to miss this!!

VERY INTERESTING -
  1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq.
  2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
  3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
  4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq
  5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
  6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!
  7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
  8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
  9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
  10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
  11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
  12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!
  13. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
  14. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
  15. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
  16. The wise men were from Iraq
  17. Peter preached in Iraq.
  18. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!
And you have probably seen this one Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.

And also, this is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!
