Wednesday

Well the mid-term elections are over and it looks like a recount will settle who our state Senator will be. Locally though we retained our Congressman Eric Cantor; and happily all the amendments to the Virginia Constitution were passed. This now add the definition of marriage as One Man-One Woman.

We're still ecstatic about Dean's promotion. It was so out of the blue and unexpected. All I can do is to keep on telling him congratulations.

His English professor has moved his regular Thursday night class to tonight. It was so sweet of her. Not really, just being very sarcastic - Hope that the Germany Engineers don't keep him at work too late tonight.

Sean woke up this morning and had a migraine. He's had trouble getting rid of it. With the weather being so weird I believe that it is the problem, first we started out with extremely warm weather now things are starting to switch over, and we are having rain. I've even heard a few rumbles of thunder. So who knows when he's going to get over with it. The advil has done the job, he is 'cured' for the time being. He declared around 4:00 that his headache was gone. I'm so happy for him.

Sean saw this little slug on the ceiling of the front porch while we were letting out the girls to go potty. I haven't seen a garden slug all summer and now here one is so late in the year. I could say it was an analogy for the elections - all the slugs have come out of hiding...

EXTRA! EXTRA!
Danielle & Faith Update

I talked to Danielle this evening and she is feeling much better after having her wisdom teeth removed. She says that she no longer looks like a chipmunk. But is looking forward to Ben having his removed so that she can torture him by eating in front of him, just like he did her.

She was telling me that she is doing fairly well in school. In fact she believes that she will be making the honor roll this nine-week period. She also told me that she is in the top 5 of her physics class. We were talked about the fall concert and that the pink shirts that Danielle & her chorus group were wearing during their concert looked like rainbow shirts in the video that they watched of the performance. It seems that the lighting in the auditorium caused the shirts to appear different colors based upon where the girls were standing, so they were blocks of color.

I also got an update on Miss Faith. It seems that Miss Faith is now walking around in her walker. She has started strolling through the house, in her walker, on her own and sometimes gets stuck when she gets hung up on a carpet. She is now able to walk around holding onto the furniture. She has developed a really love of books and she even knows where to go find them. Danielle says that he really likes music. She likes bobbing up and down dancing to music and she sometimes even dances to music that she makes up in her own head.

I could hear her talking in the background. She is making a bunch of random noises now, and playing with her top lip, and of course making motor noises. I could even hear her saying, "da da da da da". She is definitely her momma's daughter as I could hear her screeching from time to time while we were talking.

I did even get the opportunity to speak to Miss Faith at least for a minute until she tried to find me outside of the phone. She's so smart no one is going to fool her into thinking that the person is inside the phone. It makes me very anxious to get to see them again - especially since there have been so many changes and Faith seems to be developing at such a rapid pace.
