We seem to have had a population explosion here of praying mantis' this is about the tenth or twelfth that I have come across. There were four alone one the deck when I took this photo. They are hard to keep still long enough to get that "super close-up" picture.
So far I have seen these 1-2 inch long praying mantis on the front porch, tool shed, and now the back deck. I know that they are handy to have around....but just how many are too many?
