Sunday

Walter & I will be heading off to Sunday school and church this morning. This afternoon we are going to head back down to Bush Gardens and catch another round of 38 Special concerts. They did such a great job, Walt wanted to make the trip back again.

The concert matched yesterday's without a doubt. I've only posted this one shot, but will do more at a much more reasonable hour.

38 Special Concert

We got into Bush Gardens around 4:30 p.m. and rode a couple of rides before heading up the concert venue. We were able to secure second row space once again.

The other than enjoying another great show, the goal was to get one of the guitar picks that they throw from the stage during the concert, and for me to take lots of pictures.

Of course, the key to getting great pictures and guitar picks is to hopefully catch their eye. We apparently did as I was "thrown" a guitar pick by Donnie VanZant. Of course then pictures were easy. The camera did give me a little trouble - it didn't want to flash when I wanted it to do so. It really wasn't like I only got one picture - in fact I shot over 127.

There was one point when VanZant asked us if we were thrist and threw over a bottle of water. It didn't make it out far enough, but the thought was there. Then a little later Walter a couple of bonding moments. The first with Donnie VanZant and then Don Barnes. I do believe that he had a great time!

We had planned to stay for the 9 p.m. show as well, but lightning in the distance sent us heading out after the first show. It is a good thing too! The trip home ended up being a bit treterous with a large thunderstorm that settled in over Williamsburg. Mom even called and left word that we could be heading back into a storm that had potential for 60 mph winds and large hail. We saw neither, but it did give us something particular to be on the watch for.
