Saturday

We had a great time out last night. Walter thought he had gone back to work with female versions of the guys he worked with. It was pretty funny. The food was great. Roz's sister nicknamed Walt - "Pookie". She was so full of herself.

The weather is so much better this morning - I really love the wonderful breeze and low humidity. I put Tweat on the patio to enjoy the day. Carla is hanging out there as well.

I found this brown praying mantis hanging out on the screen door frame. I've had photos of green ones before, but haven't seen a brown one. He seemed to think that he was quite cleaver hiding there on the frame. He would have blended in much better had the wood had that gray weathered color.

Tweat had a friend fly in to visit this morning. Carla started taking a fit and I looked out onto the patio and there was a Wren inside the screened porch. He had flown in it seemed to visit. Amazing!

Walter & I headed off to Bush Gardens this evening around 4 p.m. We made to right at 6, but the line getting into the parking lot was terribly long, but we made it into the concert venue with about 10 minutes to spare. We took up center stage 2nd row. A great place for photographs.

There was so much energy and excitement you could almost feel it in the air. It is amazing at the sound of 6 or 7 thousand people all singing at the top of their lungs with the band. Here is where it could actually become a problem, when you are close enough to the front for Donnie VanZant to hold the mic out for you to sing and you don't know the words...Walter :o

Now I know that won't be a problem after this evening - by the time we head off tomorrow he'll be much better prepared. We're going from front row, center stage. I've been instructed to take double batteries for more pictures and Walter's bucking for one of the guitar picks the band throws out to the crowd.

Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way.

There's work to do, deadlines to meet; You've got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

In the midst of family chaos,
'Quality time' is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

Go d knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares,
And He'll respond to all your needs
A.S.A.P. - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.
