Tuesday

Walter and I went for dinner last night to IHOP. He was in the mood for pancakes! Not a bad dinner.

The evening continued with the neighbors upstairs continuing to thump and bump around their apartment. I'm beginning to really wonder what they are doing up there. Last night it sounded like someone was banging barbells down on the floor, and at others it sounded like they were jumping off the furniture.

I finally broke down and called the apartment management today - I've put up with it for four days now and it is time for them to stop all the ruckus!

I've had another busy day at work - as usual. Right now, I'm pretending I'm at lunch. Hiding out in the office with the door closed.

I talked briefly with Sean. He tells me he is all set for school - supply wise anyway.

He'll be coming over to visit this weekend. We're planning the final outing of the summer to Bush Gardens on Saturday.

Eating Recommendations

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies.
  1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
  2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
  3. Africans drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
  4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
  5. Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.
CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you!
