Birthday Get Together

Hard to believe that I started out as such a small little kid, WOW, Look how much I've changed!

Granny's card really tickled Walter, as well as everyone else. Who would have thought that Granny would be trying to burn a CD - it was so hot that it burned right through the card.

Alice is busy on the computer, working on a graphic for brother. This time I believe that it is a pirate of some type. She is quite intent on what she is doing as usual.

Dad was watching as the Walt opened his cards and gifts.

Dean & Granny joined the crowd as Walter is opening cards and getting a few laughs from them. I think that he enjoyed being the center of attention this year.

I made lasagna from scratch for the first time in many, many years at the request of our birthday fellow. Instead of a cake - cheesecake was served as the "cake" of choice also at his request. We had quite a crowd to help celebrate. Almost the entire family was here to help celebrate the passing of another year. We were only missing Danielle & her family. Of course Mom was snapping some shots, but even little Sam was taking photos.

Tim & Elda finally pose for a photo. It is almost an impossible to get Tim in a picture without him doing something silly, like sticking his tongue out or screwing up his face in some other odd way.

Before all the family departed the kids all played hide-and-seek out in the yard and looked like they were having a great time running around the yard. They were hiding in the shrubbery and behind vehicles and even the tool shed. Walter gave Terry helicopter rides, and Terry spent a good bit of time knocking on the car doors letting everyone know that he was ready to leave.

Both Alice's & Tim's kids took home some black-eyed susan plants to put into their yards, or at least in a pot. They all have so much fun picking them, because no one fusses at them since they are just wildflowers anyway.

After Pappaw had taken Terry for a ride around the circle, Terry took the notion that it was time for him to get into his car and head out for home.

Terry just loves to pretend to drive around. He seems to know exactly what all the buttons and gadgets are for....

Oh no, looks like Walter is going to be riding shotgun for Terry.
